Today’s tip has no practical value whatsoever, but it is a fun one. There is a yellow button in the upper-left corner of just about every window on the Mac, used to minimize the window. If you click on the yellow button the Mac uses a genie effect to send the window down to the Dock. It’s looks really cool, but it looks even cooler in slow-motion.

Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard as you click the yellow button. You can release the Shift key immediately after clicking the yellow button. Do the same trick in reverse by holding down the Shift key as you click on the minimized window in the Dock to return it to full size.
